Waiheke is known for its gorgeous beaches, soft golden sand, and sparkling clear water, so we decided to brew the most summery of all beers, a crisp, refreshing lager.

Waiheke, a Māori word, translates in English to trickling or sparkling water, which is so apt for a beer that is about 95% water! So we decided to name our lager after the island itself, its abbreviated name, Heke.

Made of sparkling artesian water from the island, natural yeast and all grain malt, Heke has a fresh rounded palate, and a crisp finish. It’s refreshing, but not too light, with enough hops to keep it interesting. Enjoy!
