Market Lane is an iconic Melbourne specialty coffee roaster that’s going on 15 years in business. Values-driven and quality-focused, they’ve built a robust operation, serving a long list of loyal wholesale customers that includes some of Australia’s best restaurants, cafes and providores.

Tyson says now customers get an automated prompt 24 hours before their order is processed, so if they need to update it, they can.

“It's putting the order into their feed ahead of time, they can have a look at it, and make any changes needed before we process it. It makes the ordering process user-friendly and prioritises each customer’s unique and dynamic needs.”

Why did you choose Upstock?

One of the key objectives of our wholesale program is to provide exceptional service to our partners. We love that Upstock is easy for our wholesale partners to navigate, and that it makes ordering from us quick, simple and straightforward. 


What are your favourite Upstock features?

The integration with Xero is fantastic. Our invoicing now requires minimal processing time. We don't even have to open Xero, we just put it all through Upstock and it does the invoicing automatically.

Posting about our offering in the Upstock Newsfeed helps us tell the stories of our coffees, and the passionate and talented producers who grow and process them. 

Some of our customers oversee multiple sites. So, for them, being able to have one login and seamlessly toggle between different customers and sites is really useful. 


You run 9 cafes across Melbourne, plus the roastery. Tell us a bit about who your wholesale customers are. 

Our wholesale partners are seeking out delicious, high-quality coffee that's traceable and sustainably sourced, and that has a story behind it that they can share with their customers. The goal of our wholesale program is to help them present a considered, differentiated and elevated coffee experience, and to add value and insight through training, collaboration and tailored advice. 

We supply coffee to some of the best cafes, bakeries, coffee shops and retailers throughout Australia and around the world. We also work with some outstanding restaurants, like Attica in Melbourne/Naarm, and supply coffee to some fantastic like minded businesses, like Bellroy and Aesop.
